The Love Walk
Ephesians 5:2
” And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.”
The walk of a believer is the walk of love, he is characterized by it, reason being that he was born into it, (John 3:16, 1John 3:14,16, 23). Our nature as believer is the Nature of God. We are of love . Paul is admonishing us to walk in Love as Christ as loved us.
Our love walk as believers encompasses all things. Even to the prayers we pray, a prayer for someone to be destroyed is not revealing your nature as a believer even it does not reflect the nature of God. For we know that the scriptures says “while we were yet still in our sins Christ died for the sinners”(Romans 5:8). And knowing also that it is the will of God for them to be saved (1Tim 1:4, 2Pet 3:9).
Our love walk comes down as well to our relationship (family, work, neighborhood, especially the body of Christ).. Paul said ” Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;” (Romans 12: 10. Our love walk is reflected in forgiveness as well, he that know how much he has been forgiven of God, will forgive more, in col 3:13 Paul says ” Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”
There shouldn’t be second guess or a but to all of this, its our nature, that’s the culture of the kingdom.. We walk in Love just as Christ as loved us.
