Faith Is Based On Knowledge
Psalms 119:130
“The entrance of thy words giveth light”
Faith is commonly portrayed as some arbitrary blind leap in the dark that has no relationship to reason, evidence or knowledge. To the contrary real faith is based on knowledge on the knowledge of God’s word.
The challenge a believer does have today is his attitude towards the word of God. We pray for increased faith, but we have forgotten that faith is active only by the knowledge of God’s word. I recall brother Hagin saying “You could pray forever to have faith, but if you don’t get any knowledge of God’s Word, you will never get faith.” For some, they don’t have the real knowledge of the Word or perhaps they have let it slip away and allowed it to be choked by the physical knowledge of the world.
This is why a believer who has not the knowledge of the word of God can be easily drifted off the Line of what he has received purely. And also, that’s why many believers don’t have the faith of their own except that they rely on experiences and happenings to judge their situations.
Peter says ” As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” (1 Peter 2: 2). Your handbook has a believer is the word of God, nothing else, your faith is steered from it. Paul said in Acts 20:32, that the word builds you up.
Always understand that THE AMOUNT OF GOD’S WORD YOU KNOW IS HOW MUCH YOUR FAITH PRODUCES. Knowledge is Light.
