Spiritual Growth

Ephesians 1:18
I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling—that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones!

Paul’s prayer is that our inner eyes be flooded with light. Apparently this a prayer for growth and knowledge in the resurrected Christ.

Growth is inevitable in any life endeavor, you seek growth physically, in your businesses and other aspects of life…  When you see growth, you know.

This is the same for Spiritual aspect of our life as well. How do I know I’m growing? Quite simple; Spiritual growth is not the growth of your Spirit neither is it the feeding of your Spirit (for your Spirit is made perfect when you got born again) but rather spiritual growth is simply your coming to acknowledge your new status of the new creation man has you come to read and study the word of God.  As you do this, the things of the spirit begins to matter to you, your search for understanding and revelations of His knowledge becomes what you want,  in order words, you get to want to know more about yourself and what Christ did for you from His word.  Also, as you grow, His passion becomes your passion which is to see men saved, that is, the desire to see lost souls saved grips your heart.

More so, your walk in the Spirit becomes evident for all to see. We begin to see the fruit Spirit. When I see all this should I relax? No, Spiritual Growth is continuous till Christ becomes the only subject of our thoughts and we are completely shaped in our acts and inactions.

CONFESSION

I keep growing and walking in and with Christ
Amen!
