God Never Sleeps
Psalm 121:4-5 MSGNot on your life! Israel’s Guardian will never doze or sleep. God’s your Guardian, right at your side to protect you
It was a night time I was asked to wait for a visitor who was traveling down to pass a night in our house. The reason for this was to unlock the gate for him and show him to his room. But the worst thing happened, I slept off after waiting for almost an hour leaving the visitor outside for a while before the consciousness of the waiting woke me.
That’s the finite me. However the Psalmist described an exceptional view of God which should give the believer a solid assurance of protection. He says again “… He never sleeps nor slumbers, He doesn’t even doze” in other words, He is on a watch over your life day and night. He has a duty to protect you twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week and on.
Believers must be assured that God is with them in all the challenges of life and there is no reason to fear. He has on Himself a responsibility to shield and keep you, and He will surely keep you from all evil.
CONFESSION
I trust God to shield me
