Transformed

Romans 12:2 NIV
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
God’s word exhorts us in Romans 12:2 not to be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our mind. We are not of this world. The kingdom of darkness is of this world. We have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of the light hence we should no more live by the standards of this world.
You might have been wondering as to why you keep struggling to walk in the reality of who you are as a child of God. Take for instance, you find yourself wallowing in self pity, you find yourself desiring things that shouldn’t be heard of from a child of God and you keep wondering why can’t God just do a miracle in your life so all these can be got ridden of. Infact, you might have even been praying that God will transform your life for the better.
Beloved, transformation follows after mind renewal. Your lifestyle can only be transformed to the degree to which you renew your mind. And how do you renew your mind? You do so through a continual hearing and feeding on the word of faith, the gospel message that brought you salvation.
This is the reason why God’s word instructs us in 1 Peter 2:2 that as new born babes, we should desire the pure milk of the word, that you might grow thereby. Feeding continually on God’s word will renew your mind. Consistently doing so will bring transformation to your life. So step up, don’t just keep looking at your Bible. Don’t feed on it occasionally, be consistent with feeding on God’s word so your life can be transformed radically.
CONFESSION
God’s word is a tool for the renewal of mind,
As I feed on His word, my mind is renewed, and my life is transformed to the praise of Jesus.
