Disrupted Plan
Proverbs 19:21
You can make many plans,but the lord’s purpose will prevail.
We all make plans, we have a-day plan, a-year plan and even five years plan. In fact we are ready to set out in fulfilling those plans we have made. Sometimes we see this plans come to fulfillment and sometimes we see them disrupted.
The Bible recorded stories of disrupted plans. In Acts 16:6-7, Paul and his companions had planned to bring the gospel into Bithynia but the Holy Spirit stopped them. This to Paul must have seemed troubling. Why would the Holy Spirit disrupt plans that is in line with God given mission? The answer was that the Macedonians needed him more, this was revealed to him in a dream. The Passion Translation gave an explicit insight to this – “A person may have many ideas concerning God’s plan for his life, but only the designs of his purpose will succeed in the end.

It’s sensible to make plan, but sometimes we must allow for interruptions by God. In other words we should expect God to disrupt our plans with His own. If we submit to His, we will find ourselves fitting into His purpose for our lives. So has you plan, listen to God’s plan too.
