God’s Promises are Good
Devotional Reading: “For the Lord is always good and ready to receive you. He’s so loving that it will amaze you— so kind that it will astound you! And he is famous for his faithfulness toward all. Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for he keeps his promises to every generation!” Psalms 100:5 TPT
We’ve all at a point held hope for a promise someone has made to us, only to be disappointed when we were let down? I have come to know that even the most well-intended promises made can collapse because of human frailty. But this is not who God is. The fact that God is good makes His promises good. God’s promises are consistent with His nature.
God has promised plans for our lives that are bright and full of joy, to bring prosperity and a future. He has established the work of our hands and promised us life in abundance. This means that we can trust in His ability to bring His promises to pass, why? Because He is Good.

He promises that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, that He has called you and summoned you, that you are His. He promises salvation for eternity, through the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus. This we can trust absolutely because God’s promises are good and there is never ill-intent with them. Again God is good and we can bank on His nature that His promises are good, so put them before you. Paul wrote of Christ, “for as many as are the promises of God, in Christ they are [all answered] “Yes.” So through Him we say our “Amen” to the glory of God.”
2 Corinthians 1:20 AMP
Prayer and Confession
Thank you Father for your unchangeable nature of goodness. I trust in your promises to come pass over my life. I believe and I receive. Amen!
