Understanding Jehovah Jireh 2

Devotional Reading: And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. note. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. Yesterday, we learned the meaning of Jehovah Jireh (The seeing God that provides) and it’s implication for us. It was observed that we need to understand his principles of operation, apply them and reap the fruit of obedience. Today we will begin consider these principles.
According the text, we notice in vs. 1 & 2 that Jehovah Jireh is an examiner. Like every good manufacturer, Jehovah Jireh will examine his products before putting it out in the market, like a good teacher, He examines his students for promotion. The testing of God is not with the intent to make man fall, that’s the devil’s temptation; rather Jehovah Jireh’s testing is with the intent to make men rise.
If one will experience Jehovah Jireh in one’s life, one must be ready for testings. Jireh’s testing is the Father’s code of multiplication. The benevolent Father can bless you, but in that blessing is the seed for multiplication that Jireh must examine out.
The goal of the Father is not just to bless you, but to make you a blessing, hence, he brings in the Jireh dimension in order that you might be proven for multiplication. If you desire to be a blessing to generations and not just stay on the level of the Father providing what you shall eat, drink and wear, you must enroll in the school of Jehovah Jireh.
Prayer and Confession:
Jehovah Jireh, I submit myself to be trained by you. Examine me for multiplication and bring me into to fullness of the Father’s will. I confess I have the same mind with Christ, therefore I humble myself to be trained by the Lord. For he gives grace to the humble and resist the proud.
