Dwell on the Truth

Devotional Reading: His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3 ESV

The Bible says that we have all already received all grace for all godliness and life by the knowledge of Him – which means that, if at some point in your life, you have accepted Jesus and your spirit was made one with him… Boom!! You now are equipped with a spirit that has all grace for all things. Let this Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God. This grace is accessed by the knowledge of Him.

Remember when the Spirit took Jesus to the wilderness to be tempted for 40 days and nights? Those were the times that the devil put thoughts and desires and lusts into the flesh of Jesus, and at every temptation, Jesus quoted a verse from the Word. Why? He wasn’t preaching to the devil! He wasn’t defending himself and explaining Himself to the Tempter! No! What He was doing was imparting this grace that he already had inside of Him to Himself. He was allowing the Word, the Grace, and the Power that was in His spirit to renew Him, His thoughts, His attitude in whole His flesh!!

Remember when David stood before the massive Goliath? What did he do? He imparted Grace and Strength from His spirit inside him to not just Himself but to the whole country of Israel… He screamed and declared “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!” WOW!!! What that would’ve done to a weak and weary army other than to build them up with confidence and power and the glory of God?

The Devil will lie to you, he is a LIAR! He has been doing this far too long, deceiving and tricking people to feel defeated, exhausted, not enough, not good, stranded, stuck, and lonely. Unfortunately, those who are in the church and have no knowledge of the power in their spirit and the grace available to them will fall for the tricks of this godless liar!! Oh, how I hate him – he has no place in your mind. Learn the word, meditate on the truth and the truth will set you free!!

Prayer and Confession
Everything I need for a good Godly life is already inside me. I am blessed beyond stress, I am in God’s rest. I am His precious Sheep, He Loves me. I am the apple of His eye. Oh, how he loves me.
