Protection in the Midst of Change

Devotional Reading: So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT

Many of us have gone through hopelessness during a change in our lives that we did not expect.

Joshua was a faithful squire to Moses who ends up being his successor so that he can be God’s instrument to conquer the promised land. Can you imagine that great change? Change can cause doubt, fear, uncertainty, and desperation. I am sure that you have had to face changes in your job and personal life, and that isn’t easy.

Many times change brings us pain and sorrow, just as change can also bring joy or fear. But God’s promise is that in the midst of our changes, He promises to be with us. He will not leave you; He will not abandon you; He will always be with you.

Have you ever felt alone during change? God is there. It is time to look up and know that his protection is immense enough for our personal life, and our changes.

Prayer and Confession
God, guide me to make good decisions, and today I pray for your protection to be in every change that will happen in my life. You are my Father that never leaves me. Thank you for taking care of me and loving me. Amen.
