Forgiveness in Christ 2
By Kayode Emmanuel
Devotional Reading: “Everyone who trusts in him is freed from all guilt and declared righteous—something the Jewish law could never do.”- Acts 13:39 TLB
Someone once said, “Religion is the hardest demon to be dealt with in the life of anyone.” A religious person approaches scripture only from the light of what has been in existence whether or not is rightly divided.
Scriptures says, all that believe are justified from all things and it has nothing to do with what you do as religious acts other than trusting in God through the sacrifice of Christ. Remember, this is for one who is being guided by the Holy Spirit. Hence, it is not a call to live licentiously. The limited understanding of man’s “all” and God’s “all” is the major concern that baffles the religious mind (Col. 2:13) and makes it difficult to believe the word of God.
Are you still bothered and confused? You believed the gospel and you are convinced you are no longer under damnation and condemnation; eternally saved as revealed by the scriptures. That same spiritual reality applies to being forgiven. Which one do you really think is risky, the former or the latter?
Prayer and Confession
In Christ I have forgiveness of sins, for my past, present and future sins have been paid for by the blood of Jesus. He is the propitiation for my sins.
