Principles For Living 2

Devotional Reading: “Then God said, “Let there be light.” And light appeared.” (Genesis 1:3 TLB)

The book of Genesis is considered to be the book of beginnings; everything that exist today is said to have its origin recorded there. Creation story, origin of man, sin of various kinds all started in the book of Genesis.

For whatsoever reason(s) provided by the theologians why darkness surfaced after the almighty created the universe, or at what point the darkness occurred isn’t the essence of today’s message. But the response of the creator is. The text reveals the solution provided; spoken word. God spoke light into being. This implies that, as an individual, whenever we are faced with life challenges, our response shouldn’t be proclamation of the trouble, but that which we except to see and experience. Job 22:29, says “When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.”

I wouldn’t know what has been manifesting in your life contrary to God’s plan, be it sickness, poverty or failure. Yes, they are realities but not the truth and plan of God for you. Just as God almighty did, Genesis 1 has about nine “And God said.” So, start this day to proclaim by faith what God’s intention is for you, declare what you so desire and it will be granted unto you (John 15:7). Remember, that which you cannot boldly declare by faith, is an indication that you are not convinced about it and you may not experience it. Remember, to experience the miraculous, believe it, say it and act it.

Prayer and Confession
Every of my life experiences begins to get aligned to the truth of God’s word. The infallible and ever potent word of God changes the course of my life to bring glory to His holy name in Jesus name. Amen!
