Victory over Guilt
“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”
One of Satan’s goals is for us to live in the darkness of guilt from our pasts. Satan knows that even if we believe that Jesus died for our sins, but still carry the guilt of our sin, we won’t truly receive the blessing and freedom of His forgiveness.
Psalm 103:10-12 tells us that God’s love for us is greater than we could ever imagine, and that He has taken our sin so far away from us that we cannot fully grasp the incredible distance. When Jesus died on the cross, He forever took the weight of sin off of those who believe. We can now freely receive His forgiveness, live without guilt, and feel welcome and embraced in the presence of God.
The death of Christ purchased not only our forgiveness from sin, but the authority to throw off the weight of guilt. The debt of your sin, even your greatest sin, has been paid for by the blood of Jesus. Walk in His freedom.
