Never Stop Praying

Pray without ceasing.
To pray simply means speaking to God (our father) in order to give thanks or ask for something. It is to hope or wish very strongly for something to happen. It could also mean placing a demand for something to happen in the name of Jesus Christ. The believer and praying are inseparable. Praying is not designed to be burden some. Praying is actually to the advantage of the believer. It is not to make God glad or please him. It is to the advantage of the one praying. Many believers are not taking advantage of the blessedness of praying, hence they are living in defeat, living like sheep without shepherds. Prayer is God’s gift to all believers.
The Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul commands believers to pray without ceasing. As believers, we have been called to a life of prayer. We can’t shy away from it. We can’t hide from this reality, for our lives depend on it. Our knowing God accurately via the written word and experientially depends on it. Our being relevant in the kingdom work depends on it. Our reigning in life, walking in victory over challenges, oppression(e.g sinful acts, acts that are not consistent with our nature as believers) depends on prayer. Our enforcing God’s will on earth depends on it. A whole lot of the believers walk depends on his prayer life. There is little or nothing God can do on earth when men don’t pray. Without prayer, a believer cannot lead a successful Christian life.
Our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ during his earthly walk, placed so much premium on prayer such that sometimes he would go overnight on several occasions just praying. Jesus Christ is our model. If giving oneself to praying is not so important to our life, Jesus wouldn’t have placed such premium on prayer. This only reveals to us that a consistent and devoted prayer life is important for a believer as he journeys thought this earth. Hence there is a need for us to give praying maximum attention as believers. The call is to pray without ceasing, location is not a barrier. Make a decision to give yourself wholly to prayer as from today.

I give myself wholly to praying without ceasing, for there is little or nothing God can do if I don’t pray.
