God’s Love Reveals His Goodness

Devotional Reading: So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 1 John 4:16 ESV

We all want to be loved. And what we do is that we seek love from everywhere we can find it; parents, friends, in a man or in a woman. But the truth is that as much as we can get love from those places, the greatest reality we must bring continually to mind is the love God has towards us. We may get disappointed from men but for God, He is consistent in loving you

God’s goodness reveals that He can give himself completely because of love. Disregard your human way of thinking and shift your heart to how He loves. 

He came in the middle of the mess to save. His plan for salvation is so good, far beyond what we could envision. Jesus turned our world upside down, and that is an incredibly good thing. God gave His only Son to stretch out on the cross and cover our sins, to forever bridge the gap that sin had created.

It is so obvious that God’s love is tender yet strong, resilient and steady as he bears the pain and agony of shame all because he needed to rescue us eternally from death. It is a prove that we can put our every hope and trust in Him.

You may feel unloved, rejected by family and friends, but God is ready to love you with an endless love. He hems you in and rejoices over you with song. He says when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. When you go through high waters, you will not be swept away. His love buoys you and enables you to scale the heights.

So, allow Him to love you.

Prayer and Confession
Father, I give praise for loving me. And so today, I declare that I begin to see more clearly the revelation of you love for me. In Jesus Name, Amen!
