God’s Word Builds Your Faith 2
Devotional Reading: Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, for that is the essence of self-deception. So always let his Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life. James 1:22 TPT
There is another aspect to building your faith and letting God’s Word guide you. You need to do what the Bible says to do, not just read it. The problem is that many Christians read the Bible and talk about it, but they don’t live out what it says. They deceive themselves.
Some Christians declare that they are standing on God’s Word, but there’s no action. What does it mean to believe or stand in faith? It means that in the face of everything you encounter, you refuse to quit. You stand firm. You remain steadfast and determine to never give up. Instead of focusing on the negative aspects of a particular situation, you decide to think about or meditate on God’s Word. Choose to believe the promises it contains. Opt to hide the Word in your heart concerning your situation, and continue to speak what it says until there is a change.

Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” God’s Word never returns void. It always accomplishes what God has sent it forth to do.
If you quit, you won’t gain anything. Keep putting your trust in God, even if you’ve suffered a loss, a surgery is pending, or the bank is calling. You have everything to gain because the promises in the Word are true, and they’re yours to claim!
Prayer and Confession
I stand consistently upon God’s Word, I hold it dearly and I obey it. Amen!
