The Blood That Cleanses Deeply

Devotional Reading: 1 John 1:7 – “…the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

Have you ever had an annoying stain on your white shirt that no detergent seems to remove? Sin is like that stubborn stain, only that it goes deeper than fabric. It sits right in the soul of man. No soap, no moral effort, and no self-help book can scrub it out. But the blood of Jesus? It doesn’t just wash the surface; it cleanses to the core. Imagine a bleach that never damages the cloth, only removes the stain, well, that’s the blood at work.

Religion often teaches people to try harder: pray more, fast more, cry more. While prayer and fasting are good, they don’t erase sin. Only the blood does. And here’s the funny part, some people still think God needs them to add something extra to His blood for better effect. No, friend, the blood of Jesus is not weak…it is the ultimate stain remover.

When God sees you through the blood, He doesn’t see the patchy history of your wrongs. He sees a forgiven child, spotless and radiant. So, when you approach Him, don’t crawl in shame; walk boldly, because the blood has made you clean. The devil may try to remind you of your past, but you can remind him of the blood that wiped it off heaven’s record.

Prayer and Confession
Father, thank You for the blood of Jesus that cleanses me completely. I confess that I am not half-clean or partly forgiven. I am spotless before You because of His sacrifice. Hallelujah!
