The Resurrection Gave You a Seat

Key Text: “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:6

Many believers think Christianity is mainly about trying not to sin, trying to survive temptations, and trying not to disappoint God. So they live like spiritual beggars, always praying like God is far away, always acting like the devil is too strong, and always behaving like life is controlling them. But the resurrection did not only give you joy. It gave you position. God did not just raise Christ from the dead. He raised you with Him and seated you with Him. Meaning you are not fighting from the ground. You are fighting from the throne side. The problem is that many Christians are seated in heavenly places, but they are still thinking like tenants, not like heirs.

To sit means the work is finished. Nobody sits down in the middle of a battle unless they know the outcome is already secured. When Jesus sat at the right hand of God, it was heaven’s announcement that the war for redemption had been completed. And the Bible says you are seated with Him. That means your life is not meant to be full of panic. Many believers pray like someone chasing God with slippers. They pray as if they are trying to convince God to help them. But your seat in Christ means you already have access. You already have authority. You already have acceptance. You are not praying for permission. You are praying from relationship. That is why you must stop approaching God like a stranger that is looking for connection.

See, you are not under curses. You are not under fear. You are not under generational patterns. You are not under demons. You are not under depression. You are above, because you are seated with Christ. That does not mean life will not challenge you, but it means you face challenges from a higher reality. The believer’s biggest battle is not against Satan. It is against forgetfulness. Many Christians are losing battles they have already won because they keep standing in fear instead of sitting in authority.

Prayers and Confession
Father, thank You because I am raised and seated with Christ. I declare that I live from a place of victory, not defeat. I refuse fear and I reject the mindset of helplessness. I have authority in Christ and I walk boldly in my inheritance. I reign in life through Jesus Christ. In Jesus name, Amen.
