Then Spiritually Dead, Now Alive Unto God

Key Text: “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ.” Ephesians 2:4-5

One of the most amazing realities of the New Creation is that salvation is not merely a change of destination but a change of life. Before Christ, mankind was spiritually dead. This did not mean people could not think, work, laugh, or enjoy life. It meant they were disconnected from the life of God. A beautifully decorated lamp is still useless if it is not well charged. Humanity looked alive on the outside but was disconnected from its true source. Then Jesus came and connected us back to God by giving us His own life.

Think about a smartphone that has a low battery. The owner becomes very careful. Brightness goes down. Apps are closed. But once it is plugged into power, everything changes. Many believers still live with a one percent mentality even though they have been connected to the unlimited life of God. They see themselves as weak, empty, and barely surviving. Yet the same life that raised Christ from the dead now lives in them. God did not give us a small spiritual boost; He gave us resurrection life.

This reality affects everyday living. When challenges arise, you are not facing them with ordinary human strength. When temptation comes, you are not a helpless victim. When opportunities appear, you are not limited to natural ability alone. The life of God within you produces strength, wisdom, joy, and endurance. Christians are not people trying to get life from God. They are people who already carry His life. The question is not whether the life is there. The question is whether we are conscious of it and allowing it to flow.

Prayer and Confession
Father, thank You for making me alive together with Christ. I declare that Your resurrection life is at work in me. I refuse to see myself as weak, defeated, or powerless. The life of God energizes my spirit, renews my mind, and strengthens my body. I walk today in the consciousness of the divine life within me. Amen.
