The Spirit of Joy
Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is…joy.
We all know the clear difference between happiness and joy. We say happiness is for a moment and that it comes out from things done that lighten up the emotional state of laughter. But as for Joy it expresses itself against all odds.
The state of the believer forever is a state of joy. He is born into the kingdom of joy. Paul affirms in Romans 14:17 “the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”
This means there’s no dull moment in the kingdom of God. The Spirit of God in us expresses joy and joy always. The Bible describes joy as a fruit the Spirit bears. Of course, we all have good reasons to get grouchy with discouraging news, everyday stresses, health problems. Nevertheless, God has given us His Spirit of joy that transcends these conditions. I see Paul saying to you “Rejoice again I say rejoice”(Phil.4:6)
CONFESSION
Thank you Jesus for bringing me into Joy
I count it all for joy even in difficult times
Believing that I have a Father who can take care of it.
