Heal the Sick, Raise the Dead…
Matthew 10:8
” Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. ”
One of the things a believer must yearn to do is to practice more often the things of the Spirit and exercise the authority we received in Christ and much more be consistent and conscious of it.
We see in the entire book of Acts consistency, they waxed bold demonstrating the power of God. We saw Peter and John in Acts 3:6 healed the lame man sitting at the gate called beautiful; in Acts 5:15-16 we saw sick folks , and them which were vexed with unclean spirit were healed; the Bible tells us that at the least the shadow of Peter might overshadow some of them. In Acts 6, we saw Stephen a deacon do the same, in Acts 8, Philip, Acts 14, Paul… In Acts 19:11 Bible tells us God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul so that handkerchiefs or apron were brought to the sick…
We see consistency, in the demonstrations of God’s power all over the book. A believer must know that these things are his and should function in them, he should be conscious of doing them always, they are signs Jesus said will accompany believers… It is an endowment to us.
