God’s Love is Eternal

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ”

God’s love to mankind was revealed when he gave up His only son to die. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5: 8). His Love for us was clearly unconditional, it was sacrificial, He was not looking at the frailties and evil of man but showing us that no looking at many children He will have. He shows us no one is beyond the reach of God’s love, even to the worst of all men.

That demonstration was in the sacrifice of His son… And the Bible tells us that anyone who responds to that love by believing in that singular act of Christ sacrifice will not perish.” That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. ” (John 3: 15). This statement makes it a perfect love. Such a one does not stand condemned ” He that believeth on him is not condemned. ” (John 3: 18).

This is means such a one is saved forever from wrath by the blood of Christ “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Romans 5: 9). Amazing… God’s love is eternal, He doesn’t love partly but forever, this gives an assurance that we are forever saved and secured in that external love.

Glory to God, in this we rejoice, and are stirred to extend this love to men.
