Jesus is Enough

Devotional Reading: I’ve had good seasons where everything was going well, and I’ve had hard ones where nothing went my way. But through them all, I’ve learned that there’s one secret to being content. Philippians 4:12

Social media can be a very good thing, helping us keep in touch with old friends and family members that are far away – in fact it has helped us to pray with friends and also preach Jesus to them without even knowing them. And unquestionably advent of this one way or the other help make our life better.

But if we are not careful, it can create an unrealistic outlook on life. When one of the post or pictures you made have lesser “likes” or “comments” than others, we can be misled to think other lives are accepted and that they have no trouble, and then wonder where ours went wrong leading to a state of unhappiness, identity murder, depression and discontentment.

As long as you keep comparing and envying what you don’t have, you will continually live in a state of unrest and dissatisfaction. You will always battle with discontentment until you let Christ be all that you need. Say like Paul “I’ve had good seasons where everything was going well, and I’ve had hard ones where nothing went my way. But through them all, I’ve learned that there’s one secret to being content… And I find that the strength of Christ explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty.”

Always remember this, Jesus will only want you to have joy and peace in place of this world’s competitive spirit for acceptance. Christ is your source. He is your strength. He is your sustainer. He is your joy. He is your contentment. He is your all and all. He’s everything that matters.

“When Christ is all you have, you’ll finally realize that Christ is all you need.”

I am satisfied with Jesus
I am contend with Him, Christ is enough for me.
