God Help Me!
By Roseline Shola
Devotional Reading: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2
No man is all sufficient, as rich and influential as king David was, he admitted to the fact that he needed help. We all need help at some point or another. The psalmist came to a resolve on the source of his help which leads me to this question. Who is your go-to guy? Who is the first person you call when you’re confused, broke, stuck in that idea. Is it your dad, Uncle, superior at work, wife, husband, therapist or even your pastor.
Now, I’ve not said these category of people mentioned above cannot help, all I’m saying is to source for help where it is guaranteed to be found. Say God help me as much times as you can, say it unapologetically and without any shame. Even on your good days, you still need God’s help.
Prayer and Confession:
God help me! In you alone I can find true help.
