Pray About Everything

Devotional Reading: Pray continually 1 Thessalonians 5:17NIV
As the world advances, many people wake up and realize how much they can do and accomplish without God. At least, the fact that an atheist, unbeliever, and nominal Christian can accomplish some tasks without God’s input(sense and consciousness) has made many reach certain dangerous conclusions that you don’t necessarily have to involve God in everything you do.
When preaching in the book of Acts, Paul, the apostle, quoted one of the sayings of philosophers that agrees with the reality of God about man that “In him (God) we all exist and have our being.” Acts 7:38. This implies that everything good we do on earth works because of a higher force behind it: God.
Even though a person might not recognize God at work behind the things that work in life, the truth remains that God is the force that makes all things work on the earth. Principles and laws governing the earth were determined by a higher force, God. The notion that there are many things that we can do without involving God has made many try to run certain areas of their life outside God. Even though things might seem to work for them when they don’t necessarily involve God, the reality is that it has brought no glory unto God.
More so, living life with this kind of unhealthy notion has made many children of God struggle in certain areas of life because they are trying to figure out things independently. They believe you don’t have to involve God in everything and that there are certain things you can and should be able to figure out on your own. And this has ultimately led many of us to restrict our prayers to certain areas alone. We have thought to ourselves that it is not everything we should pray about after all those that do not know God are getting certain things done without God.
Prayer essentially is a means of fellowshipping with God. In this fellowship, we commune and dialogue with God, worship him, make demands for our desires and even intercede for others. In the place of prayers, we share and build intimacy with God, especially for those of us who have entered into a child-Father relationship with him.
God plans that he be involved in every area of our life and every matter that matters to us individually. If God could be so careful and detailed enough to keep to heart the total number of strands of hair on each of us living on earth, that tells you how much God cares and would love to be involved in every area of our life( Luke 12:7).
God’s word made it known to us that God cares for us, and hence we should always cast our burdens on him and that it is humility for one to submit himself under the mighty hand of God. (1 Peter 5:6-7). It is pride to try to figure out things independently without involving and acknowledging God.
Dearly beloved, you don’t have to live life like an unbeliever. God is your father, and you are his son/daughter. Get him involved in every area of your life. When you pray, learn to pray about everything. God has never complained to anyone about praying about everything.
Pray about everything even while you may be working out some things on the physical with the consciousness that God is with you and will grant you success. Involve God in everything you do, and pray about every matter of concern to you. Be it your academics, your marital relationship, career, your choice of friends, or anything you can think of.
When you live life like this, you are bringing glory to God, and you will also be receiving God’s help in every area of your life. There is always help in God for anyone that will harness it.
You can never be wrong praying about everything. It is safe to do so.
Prayer and Confession
There is always help in God for anyone that will harness it. All of my help comes from you Lord.
