Labouring in Grace
By Kayode Emmanuel
Devotional Reading: “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” 1Corinthians 15:10 KJV
Oftentimes, the message of the gospel of God’s grace if not rightly divided could be taken for an excuse for lazing around even for the believer. Of a truth, grace is an unmerited favor received not by works else there will be room for boasting. Grace had made available all that the believer needs for life and godliness but it needs to be accessed by faith.
Jesus Christ full of grace and truth is our perfect example, he was anointed with holy spirit without measure and went about doing good, healing the sick and preaching the kingdom of God. He put to work the grace upon his life, working while it’s day before night falls when no one can work.
Paul became an outstanding Apostle by God’s grace, yet not without labouring above all others as though he had no grace at work in him. Put to use all of God’s graces in you; is it in writing of books, production of musical albums, teenage or children ministry. Laziness is costlier than diligence and sitting idle reduces the value of a man.
Prayer and Confession
My life is a product of grace, I do not labor in vain. I receive direction in life and all that I lay my hands on prospers in Jesus name. Amen
