Devotional Reading: Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “Pharaoh’s dreams mean the same thing. God has revealed to Pharaoh what He is about to do. Genesis 41:25
It appears that God indeed orchestrated the season of abundance and the subsequent season of famine that came upon the land of Egypt because of Joseph. Is famine evil? Does God do evil? Yet, the Bible says God brought the days upon Egypt.
It seems that God had a plan for Joseph, and that plan was ordained by God to come to pass. Joseph was committed to faithfully following God, which was evident in the way he handled the issue he had with Potiphar’s wife. The Bible repeatedly states that God was with Joseph, which made him successful, caused the house of Potiphar to prosper, and gained him favor in the sight of the prison’s warden, among other things.
God orchestrated events that brought Joseph out of prison and made him a “savior.” You may wonder why none of the magicians, wise men, or dream interpreters in Egypt could interpret Pharaoh’s dream except Joseph. This is exactly what happened in the case of Daniel too, which you can read about.
Beloved child of God, if you stay committed to faithfully following God, just like Joseph did, God knows how to order your steps and orchestrate events that will lead you into fulfilling your God-ordained destiny. It took time and patience before everything made sense. Joseph spent years in prison, and it seemed as if God was slow. However, God came through. Hallelujah!
God is a master planner, and if you trust Him enough, He has every detail of your life planned out and will work it out to fruition, just as He did for Joseph. Amen.
Prayer and Confession
I stay committed to faithfully following God. My steps are being ordered, events are being orchestrated on my behalf towards the fulfilment of God’s plan for my life.
