Kingdom Thinking Teaches Us to Love Differently

Devotional Reading: “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you…” — Matthew 5:44 (NKJV)

When we think Kingdom, even love takes on a new meaning. The world teaches us to love those who love us back, but Jesus commands us to love those who are hard to love. Love in the kingdom is deeper, stronger, and doesn’t depend on how others treat us. It’s a love that forgives even when wronged and blesses even when cursed.

This kind of love is not natural—it’s supernatural. It flows from the heart of God, and we can only give it when we stay connected to Him. Kingdom love is patient, kind, and doesn’t keep score. It seeks peace over revenge, and grace over judgment. It’s not always easy, but it’s always powerful.

When we love with Kingdom eyes, we stop seeing people as enemies and start seeing them as souls that God still cares about. We begin to pray for those who have hurt us and wish them well, even if they don’t change. That’s not weakness—it’s strength. Jesus modeled it perfectly on the cross when He prayed, “Father, forgive them…”

Kingdom love also helps us in everyday relationships. It pushes us to be more generous with our time, more patient in our homes, and more understanding in conflict. When we love this way, we stand out in a world full of hate and division—and we show the world what Jesus is really like.

Prayer and Confession
I am full of Kingdom love. I love even when it’s not easy. I walk in forgiveness, grace, and compassion. My love reflects Christ.
