Beyond What You Can Imagine

Devotional Reading: “Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think…” – Ephesians 3:20 (AMPC)

Have you ever imagined something so big that it made you laugh or feel a bit foolish? Maybe it was a dream career, a healed relationship, or even a business idea that seems too wild for your background. Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is not only able but willing to exceed our wildest imaginations, not just slightly, but superabundantly. That’s beyond “over the top.”

The beautiful part of this verse is not just the grand results, but how they come to be: through the power that is already at work in us. God is not sending a new power from heaven. Nope. The Holy Spirit in you is the game-changer. This means you’re not waiting on a special visitation; you’re already loaded with potential, ability, and divine resources.

Sometimes, we reduce God to what we’ve seen Him do before or what others have experienced. But God is not limited by our experiences or fears. He operates on a much larger scale… eternal, infinite, and deeply personal. He sees the bigger picture, and He wants us to dream boldly and trust deeply.

So today, stretch your imagination. Don’t be afraid to pray “crazy” prayers or dream wild dreams. You’re not being unrealistic, you’re simply making room for a God who delights in blowing our minds.

Prayer and Confession
Lord, open my heart to dream again. Help me not to limit You with my fears or past disappointments. Let Your power in me stir up faith to believe for more. I receive grace to imagine bigger, pray bolder, and hope deeper. Amen.
