You Carry God Inside You
Devotional Reading: “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?” – 1 Corinthians 3:16
Most of us underestimate ourselves because we forget who is living inside us. If you think you’re just a random person trying to survive or make ends meet, you’ll act small. But scripture says you are the temple of the living God. Pause for a second. That means the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead has taken up permanent residence in you. You’re not carrying emptiness, you’re carrying God.
Picture this, imagine someone walking into a bank with a billion Naira in their account but acting broke because they are ignorant of how much they worth. That’s how many believers live. We walk around insecure, fearful, or defeated, forgetting that heaven’s greatest treasure is already inside us. You are not powerless. You are not ordinary. You carry divine power, wisdom, and authority within you, because God Himself chose your heart as His address.
Sometimes, life tries to make you forget this. You face challenges, and your mind tells you, “You can’t handle this.” But let God’s truth interrupt that thought: “Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). That means no challenge, no system, no person has the final say over your life. You’re walking around with the ultimate advantage; the Spirit of God Himself.
So, start living with the consciousness of who you carry. When you enter a room, don’t shrink back. Remember, the King of glory walked in with you. When problems show up, don’t panic. The solution is already inside you. You’re God’s mobile headquarters on earth… a walking temple filled with His presence and power. Glooory!!
Prayer and Confession
Father, thank You for choosing to live in me. I am not empty, weak, or ordinary. I confess that I carry Your Spirit, power, and wisdom within me. From today, I will live boldly, knowing that You dwell in me. Amen.
