Obedience That Does Not Make Sense Yet

Key Text: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding…” Proverbs 3:5 – 6 KJV

One of the most ignored truths in the journey from promise to fulfillment is that God will often ask you to do things that do not look connected to the promise at all. You heard God say increase, yet He tells you to give. You heard promotion, yet He tells you to serve quietly. You heard expansion, yet He tells you to stay put. This is where faith becomes offensive to logic. Obedience at this stage feels like moving backwards while believing you are going forward.

Naaman almost missed his healing because the instruction offended his understanding. Dip seven times in a dirty river? It did not match the revelation he had in his mind. Many believers love prophecy but secretly hate instruction. We want God to bless us in ways that protect our pride and comfort. But the pathway between revelation and reality is paved with obedience that humbles you. God often tests whether you trust His voice more than your reasoning.

God’s instructions are not explanations, they are directions. If you wait to fully understand before you obey, you may never move. Some doors only open after obedience, not before it.

Prayer and Confession
Father, I receive grace to obey even when it does not make sense. I trust Your wisdom above my understanding. I declare that my obedience is aligning me with my fulfillment. I will not miss my miracle through pride or delay. Amen.
