When You Feel Trapped, God Still Has Options
Key Text: “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord…” Exodus 14:13-14
There are moments in life when you feel like you are standing between the devil and the deep blue sea. Behind you is Pharaoh, in front of you is the Red Sea, and around you are people giving you motivational quotes that are not helping at all. That was exactly where Israel found themselves. They had left Egypt with boldness, singing freedom songs, but suddenly their enemies were coming fast and the sea was not moving. Many believers know this feeling. You started that business and suddenly bills started chasing you like Pharaoh. You finally decided to live holy and temptation increased. You prayed for breakthrough and suddenly everything became tighter. This is the first truth of spiritual warfare. Sometimes progress attracts pressure.
But notice something powerful. The Red Sea did not appear because God was confused. It was not a mistake in direction. God deliberately allowed them to face something they could not solve so they could learn that He is not just a God of escape, He is a God of openings. Many times we think deliverance means God will remove the enemy. But sometimes God does not remove Pharaoh immediately. He simply creates a road where no road exists. That is why Moses said, “Stand still and see.” Meaning, stop panicking God is about to show you a method you have never seen before.
When you are trapped, do not rush into foolish decisions. Many people run back to Egypt because pressure made them forget purpose. Some go back to sin because holiness became too hard. Some compromise because waiting feels like dying. But the Red Sea is not your grave. It is your testimony ground. That deep blue sea is not there to drown you, it is there to prove that your enemies cannot follow you into your next level. If God brought you out, He will bring you through. The devil loves trapping people mentally, because once your mind is trapped, even if the door is open you will not see it. But today God is reminding you. When you cannot move forward, and you cannot go backward, look upward.
Prayers and Confession
Father, I refuse to panic in the face of pressure. Open my eyes to see Your strategy and Your salvation. Make a way for me where there seems to be no way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
