Resistance is Not Stress, It is Proof You Are Dangerous

Key Text: “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

Another spiritual law that produces physical manifestation is the law of resistance. Many believers think that once Jesus has given them victory, they should never face opposition again. But the truth is, victory does not mean the devil will stop trying, it means the devil will stop succeeding. Resistance is your spiritual right to say, “Not in my life.” The supply is already available in Christ, but resistance is how you stop spiritual thieves from tampering with what belongs to you. If you do not resist, you may be victorious in theory but still be defeated in experience. A house may belong to you legally, but if you allow squatters to live there, you will be suffering inside your own property.

Notice what the Bible says: resist the devil and he will flee. It did not say “beg the devil,” or “cry until the devil is touched.” Resistance is not emotional, it is authoritative. It is standing your ground on God’s Word until satan’s pressure breaks. Some believers resist for two minutes, then give up and start saying, “Maybe this is my portion.” No. The devil is a liar, not a landlord. If he is still hanging around, it is because you have not consistently enforced your stand.

Resistance is what you do when fear enters your mind and you say, “I reject this thought in Jesus name.” Resistance is what you do when sickness symptoms show up and you refuse to accept it as your identity. Resistance is what you do when temptation knocks and you say, “I am dead to this.” Resistance is what you do when financial pressure screams and you refuse to start making foolish decisions. Many physical manifestations delay because people are too passive. They love peace, but they hate confrontation. Unfortunately, the devil respects confrontation. If you keep allowing him to bully you, he will keep extending his stay like a stubborn visitor that came for weekend.

So yes, Christ has already won the victory, but you must enforce that victory through resistance. Resistance is not denying reality, it is refusing to surrender to it. When you resist consistently, you will notice something powerful: the same situation that used to intimidate you will start responding to you. The devil flees not because you are loud, but because you are submitted to God and standing in your God given authority. Resistance is spiritual law. When you engage it, physical results follow.

Prayers and Confession
I am submitted to God. I resist the devil and he flees from me. Fear has no hold on me. Oppression has no space in my life. I stand firm in Christ and I see victory manifest physically. Amen
