Faith Works with Words
Hebrews 11:3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
One principle of faith is that it works with words, it doesn’t keep quiet concerning a situation. And not that it just speaks but that it speaks that which God has spoken already, this is what we refer to as confession or declaration. The Greek word for “confession” implies that we speak with our mouth that which we believe in our heart, in other words, our mouth and our heart must agree to what God has said.
The author of Hebrew stated that it was by the word of God that the things that are seen were made from things unseen. Recall that faith… Is the evidence of things not seen (Vs 1). Hence, God spoke the things He wants to see to being. Jesus gave us the same license when he said in Mark 11:23 “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
It is obvious from Jesus’ statement that if you will get result for your situation, your mouth and your heart must agree with what God already said about it. You have to believe in your heart and say it with your mouth. This how we are saved as well, Romans 10:9 tells us, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
You see that, therefore, take up the challenge, confess what God has said concerning your situation with your mouth what you believe in your heart. If you are sick, Speak God’s word about health “…by his stripes I was healed”(1Pet2:24), therefore if I was healed over 2000 years ago, then I am healed now. Do the same thing for strength, protection and your finance.
