No Fear Here!

2Timothy 1:7

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

This is the word of God informing and telling us that fear is a spirit and it is not of God, “For God has not given us the Spirit of fear…” Meaning that from what we received of God as a believer, fear is not part of it.

Paul said ” For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”  (Romans 8: 15). The Spirit received at new birth makes us accessible to God and see Him as a Father. This means anyone who approaches or tells you how dreadful God is or what you hear causes fear in your heart, is definitely not speaking the mind of God.

Looking at the scriptures many messages brought to God’s people either by angels starts with a “fear not or do not be afraid.” This implies that, God wants you to see Him approachable. We have the Spirit of God which is of sound mind and love.  John said in 1 John 4:18(Amp) There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].

We have been made perfect in God’s love already and so there is no fear in our domain. All we must do is to grow and acknowledge that love. God’s Spirit is in you Fear is a stranger to you cast it out and be overwhelmed with the Love of God.

CONFESSION

I have been made perfect in love, therefore I don’t live in fear.
I am always full of faith.
Amen!
