Adopted as Sons
Galatians 4:6
You can tell for sure that you are now fully adopted as his own children because God sent the Spirit of his Son into our lives crying out, “Papa! Father!”
Christine who is now a renowned preacher of the gospel, shared an experience of how she never knew she was an adopted child till she was in her late youth age. She spoke of how she enjoyed all the rights and privileges of a biological child never feeling unworthy or out of the circle.
The scripture describes believers as adopted children of God by the Spirit of God that dwells in us. But not only are we called adopted, the scripture proclaimed us as sons accepted in the beloved.(Eph 1:4) The scripture also affirm that we are joint heirs together with Christ (Rom. 8:16). In other words, we have access to all rights and privileges in the kingdom of our Father. The same Spirit that rose Christ from the dead dwells in us. The same blood of Christ flows through your vein.
God does not see you as a child who is never worthy, he sees you as a son forever. Hence, express your rights and privileges, you’re blessed, you’re loved, you have authority, you have all the kingdom’s resources at your disposal. They are yours
