The Peace of God

2Thessalonians 3:16 (NLT)

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all..

Among the things a believer should posses at every time is the peace of God. This particular peace has nothing to do with whatever one passes through, whether good or bad. It is also one of the blessings God gave to every believer. The greetings of the apostles especially Paul are profound. He always start by saying ‘…Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.’ in other words, the gospel of grace we received also has peace embedded in it.

Paul made us understand that this kind of peace we have has believers came from God Himself. ‘Now may the Lord God himself give you his peace..’ the peace of God is what makes you steadfast even in the midst of terrible storms of life. Paul said this peace that comes from God is available “at all times in every situation. Jesus also says in John 16:33, that despite the tribulations we may encounter in this world, resting on his word is enough to make us peaceful.

What is it you are going through, be courageous, do not be perturbed, trust God in and through it and be rest assured that God is committed to his promises unto you.
