Growing From Little to Big

By Ifeoluwa Fatoki

Devotional Reading: Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. (Pro 3:5-6 NAS)

The world offers many formulas to success, and growth. And it’s okay, but if we really don’t know how to start, we will find more frustration than fulfilment. Today, we are invited to look at how God does it, and Tiberias is where to look.

Also known as the Sea of Galilee, the Sea of Tiberias distinguishes itself as a beautiful and necessary sight for start-ups to pick the very first lesson. Tiberias was where Peter had toiled all night, and caught nothing. This was also the place where Jesus had fed the five thousand. However, what became a banquet began as a baon.

So what made a feast out of a boy’s lunch? The boy placed his tiny loaves in the big hands of the Able God. This would mean, to let God take the lead. To let Him have His way.

Remember Peter, in Luke 5. Experienced and equipped, yet he caught nothing, until He let God. Instead of washing your nets, perhaps to try other ventures, why not wait and commit it all into His hands. You’ve been doing it your way, but now may just be time to let Him. When we let God have His way, He gives us more than we desire, He gives us the best.

Prayer and Confession.
Lord, I refuse to trust myself anymore, rather I yield myself to you totally in obedience. Amen
