Be Led by the Spirit Through the Word

Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Many seek to be led by God and to make sure they know his will for there lives. While this is a good thing, many in quest for spectacular experiences have lost touch with the supernatural gift, of the Holy Spirit that resides in a believer when he became born again, and sought after relying on their feelings, peoples ideas and experiences, stories, philosophies which are actually fatal if one wants to walk in the direction God shows.
A believer must understand that he is not governed by his senses, experiences, stories, etc.
Also, a believer should understand that, while the spectacular are real(Visions, dreams etc.) and that God uses them, only that we must not rely or depend or wait solely on such experiences to get leadings and directions from God..
The Supernatural gift of the Holy Spirit we received at new birth is sufficient for a believer to receive directions and leadings from God… The inner witness is the voice of God, that’s why when a believer got born again it was his spirit that got born again.
One might ask, ok yes, its true, but at times one might be hearing two Voices, how do one distinguish?.. Clear and simple enough; the word of God… If you are in state of Confusion look into the word, the word is true of itself, Jesus is the word of God. When we feed our inner man with the word of God, it will always be difficult to make wrong choices and go in wrong directions. The Holy Spirit testifies of the word.
John 16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
The word of God is a lamp unto our feet as direction, and a light unto our path as guidance. The word of God gives direction… Therefore, we must learn to pay attention to the inner witness as we feed ourselves with the word of God.
