Keep God’s Way, As You Wait

By Kayode Emmanuel

Devotional Reading: Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. Psalms 37:34 KJV

Waiting period is a time of uncertainty, depression and bitterness for every individual who will not trust in the love of God. For the believer who is going through certain experiences that is not as he desires, it is important to know that such a moment is a trial of faith.

In your waiting period, continue in the practice of thy duty, following the ways which God hath prescribed in his word, and do not use indirect and irregular means to deliver thyself. Do not allow compromise of any sort. Certain things are clearly spelt out in God’s word which as a believer you are not expected to do regardless of situations and circumstances at hand. Also, those that are not stated, you have the Holy Spirit whose job is to guide you into all truths.

Do not turn away from the path of righteousness. Do not allow any temptation, or any opposition, to cause you to swerve from that path. Remember, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” – 1Cor. 10:13. It is not just all about coming out of a situation, it is all about becoming a testimony indeed and a source of hope to others in similar cases.

Prayer and Confession
I am brave and courageous, I am not impatient, I wait for the Lord and he will save me. Amen
