The Resurrection Proves God’s Power Over All Things

Devotional Reading: And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you. – Romans 8:11 (NIV)

One of the greatest revelations of the resurrection is that nothing is too hard for God. Think about it—death is the final enemy. It’s the point where human strength ends. But Jesus didn’t just face death—He defeated it. He was crucified, buried, and sealed in a tomb, yet He rose again on the third day. That’s not just a miracle; it’s the ultimate display of God’s power over everything that seems impossible.

As believers, this should change how we see challenges. If God could raise Jesus from the dead, then He can raise any dead situation in your life. A dead marriage, a dying dream, a broken relationship, or even a stagnant spiritual life—none of these are beyond His power. The resurrection tells us that God specializes in turning things around, even when it seems too late.

The problem is that many of us forget this truth when life gets tough. We start worrying, panicking, or looking for help in the wrong places. But the same Spirit that raised Jesus is alive in us. He’s not just here to comfort us—He’s here to empower us. The resurrection wasn’t just an event to celebrate on Easter Sunday—it’s a reality to live by every day.

Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:19–20 that believers would understand “the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe…which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead.” That means God’s power is not distant or reserved for a few—it’s directed toward you as a believer. The resurrection power is working in your favor, whether you feel it or not.

So today, instead of focusing on how big your problem is, remind yourself how powerful your God is. The stone was rolled away, not just from Jesus’ tomb, but from every area of your life that was locked up in defeat. Don’t give up. If God raised Jesus, He can raise you too—because resurrection is not just about what happened to Jesus; it’s about what happens in you.

Prayer and Confession
Lord, I believe in Your resurrection power. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in me today. No situation in my life is beyond Your power. I confess that I am not defeated—I am more than a conqueror. I trust You to turn around every dead situation in my life. Amen.
