Missed Seasons Cost More Than We Think

Key Text: “He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.” Ecclesiastes 11:4 KJV

Life moves in seasons, and seasons do not wait for people to feel comfortable. A farmer who refuses to plant during planting season cannot complain when harvest season arrives empty handed. The weather did not stop him. His delay did. God designed life with timing, and timing matters more than we often realize.

Many believers assume opportunities will always come back around. Sometimes they do, but sometimes they do not look the same again. Delayed obedience often produces reduced results. God is merciful, but mercy does not cancel principles. When God says now, He means now. Ignoring timing because of fear or overthinking can quietly cost us growth, impact, and progress.

Everyday life proves this point. Application deadlines close. Exams start whether you feel ready or not. Life does not pause to negotiate with hesitation. In the same way, faith recognizes divine timing and responds promptly. Wisdom is not just knowing what to do. It is knowing when to do it.

Prayer and Confession
Father, help me recognize the seasons You have placed me in. I receive sensitivity to divine timing. I declare that I will not miss my opportunities through delay. I respond promptly to Your leading, in Jesus name. Amen.

Is there something God prompted me to do earlier that I have postponed for too long?
