Stay Conscious of His Presence
Psalm 139:3,7 ESV
You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.
Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?
The blessing of blessings to the believer in Christ is the gift of God’s presence living inside of us. The Presence of God that was upon the Tabernacle in the Old Testament as a cloud now lives within the believer in Christ. God has come to make His dwelling place in His people through His Spirit.
The Psalmist points us to the fact that surely God inhabits every nook and cranny of our lives—except for the parts that we close against Him. When we don’t sense God is right where we are, it’s not because He’s absent. It’s because we have not being completely conscious of Him. It takes practice.
The Holy Spirit is God’s presence to the believer, He is in him and with him. It’s a daily awareness that he must bring himself into, an experience that must become a lifestyle. If God dwells inside of you, it means you can talk to Him anytime and you can listen to His voice. He is in you as a friend, so practice fellowshipping with Him.
