God Is Not Nervous

Key Text: Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23 KJV

Many believers act as if God is pacing in heaven, biting His nails, and saying, “Ah! This one is hard. I hope we can manage.” But Scripture never presents God as anxious, confused, or trying to figure things out. God does not need brainstorming sessions. He spoke light into existence without a committee meeting. The problem is never God’s ability. The real question is whether we truly believe He is capable beyond our human calculations.

We often measure God using our personal experiences. If we have never seen something happen before, we quietly conclude that it cannot happen now. That is like saying because you have never travelled outside your country or city, the rest of the world must not exist. God’s capacity is not limited to what you have seen. In the Bible, He parted seas, fed thousands with a small lunch, and raised the dead. Today we struggle to believe Him for things like direction, provision, or change in circumstances. Somehow we believe God can create galaxies but cannot handle our daily problems.

Faith is not convincing God to act. Faith is aligning yourself with what God is already capable of doing. The man in Mark 9 did not need to increase God’s power. He needed to adjust his belief. Many of us are waiting for God to “show up” while God is waiting for us to trust what He has already said. God is not intimidated by your situation. Heaven is not holding an emergency meeting because of your life. God is able. The question is, will you believe?

Prayer and Confession
Father, I acknowledge that Your ability is not limited by my experience, my fears, or what I see around me. I choose to believe Your Word above my feelings. I declare that You are able to do all things, and my heart is open to trust You without reservation. My faith rests in Your power, not in human possibility. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
