Trust Christ to Save Completely
Hebrews 7:25
is able to save completely all who come to God through him. Since he will live forever, he will always be there to remind God that he has paid for their sins with his blood.
We believe in a doctor when we put our case in the doctor’s hand, trusting him to cure us. We believe in a Lawyer when we leave our case in his hands, and trust him to advocate for us. We believe in a banker when we put money into his hands, and allow him to keep our money on our behalf.
But it baffles me when some folks are repulsive whenever you let them know that as they believe Christ Jesus to forgive them their sins, they can also trust him to save them eternally.
When we put our faith in Jesus Christ as a saviour who forgives sins, we have done well, but I must tell you that is just a partial and incomplete faith. True saving faith is believing that Christ is just not only able to forgive our sins but also able to save us to the uttermost and completely just like the writer of Hebrews have stated it to be.
Our understanding of this will enable us to serve God without fear and guilt but with reverence and boldness. We must learn to consciously trust him to do what we cannot do for ourselves.
CONFESSION
I trust Christ to save me to the uttermost and I serve him with boldness and reverence always. Amen!
