Spread The News

1John 4:14
” And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.”

The drive of the apostles to spread the message of the gospel was with zeal having seen and witnessed the resurrection and also Jesus explaining all to them (Luke 24:25-27; 44-45). They had that passion, Peter and John said, “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4: 20)

What things? The gospel of his death, burial and resurrection – Paul says… “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” (Acts 20: 24) “So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.” (Romans 1: 15).

This was not left only to the early apostles alone, it is a commission to every believer. Our purpose is to preach the gospel, to make disciples and teach them to do the same, every other things finds it fulfillment in this. “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. ” (Mark 16: 15)

This is the will of God, this is what He wants, so as believers we want what He wants…so preach the gospel, be spontaneous about it.

CONFESSION

I’m committed to reaching out to people  the Gospel of Christ, I’m not ashamed, I speak with boldness the Gospel of grace.
Amen!
