Ask Always in Faith
1 John 5:15
“And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
Many a time, when we have prayed so much and it seems we do not get the answers of what we prayed for, we are tempted to give up on that request and keep on wondering where you have gotten it wrong. When this happens many of us don’t know or understand that’s when to use your faith or exercise your faith..
Faith is receiving what you have not seen, James says when you ask of God, you ask in faith ” But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” (James 1: 6). You asking in faith is receiving what you have not seen yet. This mean the problem is not with God giving it, but with you receiving what you ask for.
Always know that God is faithful giving to you what you ask of him in prayer. Jesus said, “whatsoever you ask the Father in my name He will give it to you” (Jn.14:14). He also said, ” Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11: 24)
What faith does is to take you from the mental senses to you receiving what you asked even without seeing it. Jesus said “believe that you receive”. To receive is to take hold of something. Now, how does faith work? It work with words, it work with your actions. You keep speaking and then acting as someone who hath received the request even tho you have not seen it.
Therefore when next you pray and it seems as tho you are not getting result, that’s the time to use and exercise your faith. And this is the assurance..1 John 5:15 And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
