Do Good
Galatians 6:10 (Amp)
So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good [morally] to all people [not only being useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God’s family with you, the believers].
The nature of our Father (God) is that He is all good, he does good not because He is expecting us to repay him for it, He does it because, that is who He is, He is all good.
The believers takes after this nature, we have the very nature of our father, born of the spirit (Jn3:5), James says we are begotten by the will of God (Jam.1:18) Peter says we have been made partakers of the divine Nature (2Pet.1:3), Paul says we are complete in him (Col.2:10).. So we have the fathers DNA as it were.
Understanding this prompts us to replicate the same. We also do good not because we wanted to or because we are expecting something in return, we do it because that’s who we are, it runs our blood. So Paul is saying using every opportunity do good to all. The way to start this is by practicing to do good with our fellow believers.
