Saved and Sure
1Thessalonians 5:9
” For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,”
Salvation is a gift; it was without our effort. Eph 2:8-9, 2tim 1:9, and Titus 3:5 tells us that it is not of works i.e not by our doing or effort. Hence, to be saved is to be saved from the wrath to come. Jn 3:17 says God has not sent his son not to condemn the world but the world through him might be saved.. Also Jn 5:24 tells is anyone who believes in the Son is passed from death to life.
In Romans 5:9, the scripture tells us being justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Christ. So in clear terms, a man who has believed the son’s sacrifice stand completely justified. Therefore by the virtue of salvation he is saved from hell and can be sure he is never going to be rejected when Christ shall return.
Glory to God! Jesus Sacrifice was enough for us to be saved forever. Let this be a reminder and in your consciousness often, that God saved and completely justified you in Christ.
