His Love is Better than Life
Psalms 63:3
for your love and kindness are better to me than life itself. How I praise you!
Life takes us through a broken, uncomfortable situations that brings despair and wearies our faith in God. Sometimes we are at the verge of giving up and settling for whatever comes our way and then someone comes and express love to us which brings us back on track.
The note in this Psalm affirms that David wrote it when he was in the Desert of Judah, although in a less desirable condition. He was in a desperate situation, yet he didn’t didn’t despair because of his trust in God. He said “You God, are my God, earnestly I seek you. I thirst for you in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”
Perhaps you’ve also found yourself in a place of difficulty, without clear direction or adequate resources. Uncomfortable situations can confuse us, but they should not drift us away when we remind ourselves of the one who expresses His love to us, satisfies us, helps us, and whose right hand uphold us. Always remember His love for you no matter what. His love is better than life.
CONFESSION
I remain steadfast in my faith towards God
I am always conscious of God’s love towards me.
I remain steadfast in my ways towards God.
God loves me! This I am most sure of
